At some point, Link succeeds in liberating the Four Giants, enigmatic deities who can halt the Moon's descent, and confronts the Cranium Child. At this stage, Majora, the mighty evil entity residing inside Majora's Mask, abandons its now-ineffective host and retreats to the core of the Moon
